LAHORE: (Friday, May 23, 2025): A team of six students from Punjab University Department of Social Work participated in Panah National Youth Health Advocacy Conference in Islamabad. A student Khuldiya Sattar was awarded the coveted ‘Best Campaign Award’ for her innovative and impactful health advocacy campaign. Meanwhile, Ghulam Abbas was selected as the ‘Ambassador’ for Punjab University, acknowledging his dedication to youth leadership and public health initiatives. Chairperson Department of Social Work Prof Dr Uzma Ashiq, leading the delegation, received the esteemed ‘Best Leadership Award’, recognizing her exceptional mentorship and unwavering commitment to student development. Dr Uzma said that these accolades highlight the department’s commitment to excellence in social work and public health advocacy. She said that the department continues to empower students to become change-makers in society through active participation in national forums and campaigns.
